Objectives

Many problems in modern society are problems of organization and control, solvable with the combined use of modern techniques of Management and making use of advanced technologies. Both public and private business environments are rapidly evolving along rather complex and strongly dynamic lines.

Growing at the same rate is the demand for managerial personnel able to measure up to the speed of changes in competencies, organizational setup, competitive environment, and strategic resources, and thus supplying effective answers and solutions.
The modern manager is required not only to demonstrate managerial ability, but also creativity, qualities of leadership and the capacity to take in the entire economic and organizational event horizon.

The introduction of new technologies, made necessary by competition or, in any case, by the desirability of supplying new, continually improved, products and services that meet the expectations of clients/users, brings along with it a wide range of problems of a managerial nature.

The associated themes range through many fields, if one considers that all traditional managerial instruments not only ignore the technological content of the business but also supply a static representation, which can with difficulty take account of the phenomena that innovation brings with it. All this makes it necessary to adopt adequate training approaches, able to offer managerial instruments compatible with the growing diffusion of advanced technologies, and in particular those of information and communications.

Since the 1998/99 Academic Year, the Master Program in Business Engineering has effectively answered to these needs, offering a high-level training opportunity, carefully planned and particularly innovative in method and content. The twelfth edition (A.Y. 2010/2011) has not only been updated in its programs, but is also filled out with new services that make the training experience more productive, interesting and pleasant.
